The SAT, often referred to as SAT-1, is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. It assesses a student's readiness for college and provides colleges with a common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.

Reading Section:
Content: This section tests reading comprehension, vocabulary in context, and understanding of how authors use evidence to support claims.
Format: 52 questions, 65 minutes.
Passages: Includes literary texts, historical documents, social sciences, and natural sciences. Questions focus on understanding and analyzing these passages.
Writing and Language Section:
Content: This section assesses grammar, vocabulary, and effective language use.
Format: 44 questions, 35 minutes.
Passages: Includes non-fiction topics. Students must identify and correct errors in grammar, usage, and punctuation.
Math Classess:
Content: The Math section is divided into two parts: one that allows the use of a calculator and one that does not. It covers a range of math practices, with a focus on problem-solving, modeling, using tools strategically, and using algebra.
Format:
No Calculator Section: 20 questions, 25 minutes.
Calculator Section: 38 questions, 55 minutes.
Heart of Algebra (linear equations and systems)
Problem Solving and Data Analysis (ratios, percentages, and proportional reasoning)
Passport to Advanced Math (complex equations and functions)
Additional Topics (geometry, trigonometry)
Essay (Optional):
Content: Students are asked to read a passage and analyze how the author builds an argument to persuade an audience.
Format: 1 essay, 50 minutes.
Scoring: The Essay is scored separately from the other sections and is evaluated based on reading, analysis, and writing skills.
